The only way forward

As I traveled through Eastern Oregon, another tragic oil pipeline accident spilled large quantities of oil into the Pacific Ocean, killing birds and fish and polluting our coastal waters and wetlands.

How many more of these types of catastrophes have to occur until we start taking action? How many more wildfires have to destroy our precious forests before we embrace the solutions and technologies that will ensure a viable future for our children?

When will our so-called leaders stop the partisan bickering, wake up and urgently take action to move the world away from a fossil-fueled economy?
