Just out of curiosity, did you happen to have a credit on your Groupon account? I want to close my account as well, but there is a credit and I don't want to close it and loose my money.

I am trying to stop Groupon e-mails as I am not interested, my daughter in law must have put it on when she was last here. I just cannot find how to get rid of them, every day more and more. Help!

Just deleted my account due to some customer satisfaction issues regarding refunds. Had to actually call the company (18775214191) to have this done. I asked the representative how to do it from the website and she informed me there isn't actually a way to do that right now. All you can do from the website is unsubscribe to emails and daily deals. Your account remains active, however. The company wants to keep you as a subscriber (even if you don't receive the emails) because it pumps up their number of "active subscribers". This helps them attract businesses to work with. If you're looking for this particular answer then you're already dissatisfied with their service. If you're just doing some research, be warned of their highly inflexible refund policy, even when it's related to severe medical disabilities and accidents. Good luck.

Think it a shame that consumer protection Institutions and international legal regulatory bodies have not made it compulsory for all web portals to offer a mandatory fully visible choice for canceling an account, especially where the registration is very easy!

I don't remember ever having signed for different types of newsletters from Groupon. It now means canceling each different type separately, although apparently I must have subscribed to them all at once.

Petty biz-tricks that apparently even established Institutions don't seem to shy away from!

And it is all legal, even when in my opinion absolutely immoral!

Making it easy to fall in a trap no matter of what kind, and goddamn difficult to get out!

If registration is easy, so should be the cancellation.

If newsletters are dumped ad hoc, there should be an option to cancel them all at once!

If Groupon keeps on sending me Newsletters, even after I have canceled the Subscription a number of times, and I have no option to directly cancel my Subscription or account, I am forced to report them as Spam. If many of that do that, perhaps they may change, but seems people are happy to receive bulk mails! I too have my box fatigue-full of them!

Here I was looking up stuff in Canada and thought the almighty google was translating my searching accidentally onto the maps. I was even more surprised when google search suggest already pre-filled Quebec Route 366 Portland. Hilarious that you even posted this!

Agreed, it's not the most efficient way to accrue large point balances on your frequent flier account. But it seems like a fun way to get some extra points, especially for those people that are using social network check-in features anyway.
